Inspiration Mondays - Stairs

Staircase  -  a construction designed to bridge a large vertical distance by dividing it into smaller vertical distances, called steps. ...

Who knew that stairs came in so many options?

I have lived in enough small spaces that I appreciate furniture that serves a double purpose and makes sure that no space goes unwasted. I  have thousands of books, so am always happy to find alternative places to store them. Extra storage in general is a good thing! Check out some of these innovations and inspirations.

                                                               I want this!!

This is clever, I never have enough room for all my shoes!

This is great use of space as well

I love this one

Great use of small space

This staircase is featured on Desperate Housewives. I love it so much, I took a picture of my TV screen

And then of course there are stairs that make a statement:

  1. Wow! I am a huge fan of stairs...I know dorky, right? I had a kitchen built under the stairs in a house I used to rent--I miss that place! It was a old carriage house on the grounds of an 1879 mansion....There was a HUGE and beautiful English garden complete with water features--ahh so nice! But I've since moved on....either way I hope you'll visit my new blog showcasing my new adventures in life and home decor!

  3. The ornate spiral stairs looks totally awesome! I saw a similar concept on another blog, only with a huge glass pillar in the middle of the spiral staircase. It would have been a better idea if they turned that glass pillar into a vertical aquarium!

  4. I would have loved to see a fishtank going up the center of the stairs, what a cool idea. Probably be a bitch to clean it though :(

  11. Hi there this is kinda of off topic but I was wondering if
blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code with HTML.
I'm starting a blog soon but have no coding skills so I wanted to get advice from someone with experience. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
